Flying with Diabetes Supplies

With increased airport security measures, travelers with diabetes should be aware of the following to safely board an aircraft with diabetes medication, equipment, and supplies:

  • Notify the screener that you have diabetes and are carrying your supplies with you
  • Request a visual inspection before the screening process begins; otherwise, your supplies will undergo x-ray inspection
  • Separate your medication and supplies in a pouch or bag
  • Medications should be labeled so they are identifiable
